How we collect, use and protect personal data, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Swiftver Limited (“Swiftver”, “we”, “us”) is a wholesale food supplier registered in Scotland, company number 864263, with its registered office at Unit 2, Mandale Park, Russell Road, Edinburgh EH11 2LS.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any question about it, contact us at info@swiftver.co.uk.
What we collect
We collect only what we need in order to supply you:
- Enquiry details — the name, business name, email address, phone number and order information you give us when you request trade prices or contact us.
- Account and order records — delivery addresses, contacts at your site, order history, delivery notes and invoices.
- Correspondence — emails, messages and notes of calls about your account.
- Technical data — limited information your browser sends when you visit this site, such as IP address and pages viewed. See our cookie policy.
We do not knowingly collect special category data, and we do not collect payment card details through this website.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Marketing
We may send existing customers occasional information about products and services similar to those already supplied. You can opt out at any time, in any message we send or by emailing info@swiftver.co.uk. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is necessary to run the business: our accountants and accounting software, delivery and logistics support, IT and email providers, and professional advisers. Where a supplier processes data on our behalf, they act only on our instructions under a written contract.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, for example to a food safety authority or HMRC.
Where your data is held
Our systems are hosted in the UK or the European Economic Area where possible. If any provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on an adequacy decision or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become accounts — up to 12 months.
- Customer and order records — for the life of the account and then six years, to meet accounting and tax requirements.
- Food traceability records — as required by food law for the product concerned.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access a copy of your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to erase it or restrict how we use it, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@swiftver.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
